Almost there Xmas with Friends

Hello

5 more days left. I can’t wait to see everyone! Don't forget tickets R40 & you can pay at the door.

Hope you all have your outfits. I cant fit into mine so guess what i'm doing this weekend!

This week I’m keeping it short, but can’t resist too touch on the news… What is the difference between Tiger Woods & Santa Claus? SANTA STOPPED AT 3 HO'S hahahaha... now Jamie says she's sorry, she's so lame... attention seeker. SA Airlink, Julia's, Cosatu.... all speak for themselves!

& the Miss World Pageant right here in South Africa… how awesome!!

As we’ve all experienced, the soccer draw was oh so exciting for many of us. So much so that it has us jacked to actually purchase tickets. Well done FIFA!

My chosen non-profit organizations for this week go as follows:
SPECIAL CARE CENTRE SHERWOOD PARK

This SPECIAL CARE Centre provides a stimulating environment for the profoundly mentally challenged children in our community. SPECIAL CARE children normally need very intensive special care and their educational process is highly specialised. http://www.sherwoodpark.org.za/

LOFOB

Mr Philip Bam, Executive Director of LOFOB, has guided the organization since 1974. Mr Bam explains the mission of LOFOB, “Our mission is to enable all visually impaired people to reach their optimal potential through independence development and to care for and protect the rights of those who, due to circumstances beyond their control, are unable to do so themselves.” http://www.lofob.org.za/

Hey there

Can you believe that we're done with November already geezzz I havent even started Christmas shopping yet. To be quite honest i'm really scared to hit the malls. The crowds, the noise, the lines, great idea to go fully protected with arm shield, knee pads & helmet!

Lets prepare this year... make your list, go to the mall, go for lunch, look at the decor, listen to the music & make a day of it... make a memory. Hah would luuvvv to be a fly on the wall to see that go down!

So what's happening in the news Ms harpo herself calling it quits after 25yrs, wonder if old Felicia Mabuza will be making a come back?! Really wont be surprised, gosh even Onder Engele is back on the tele WHAT THE HELL IS SABC DOING?? Sorry didn't mean to get you started. & What's up with Ufo's in Jozi?, goodness talk about extreme, next you'll find HOT, SEXY soccer players walking around S.A., oh wait, hold-up, that’s a given!

As promised, below please find some special people in our world who could do with our donation...

NSRI

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is a non-profit organisation that saves lives on South African waters. Sea Rescue is run by 880 highly skilled volunteers who are on standby day and night throughout the year. Donations and sponsorships cover the annual running cost of R17m. The volunteers save us a salary bill in excess of R185m per annum.

Appeal: The NSRI urgently needs donations to equip our rescue crews with Foul Weather Gear for the coming winter. To read some more please go to http://www.nsri.org.za/new/default.asp

While we're here, lets do what we can...

I thought it’d be a great idea to look a little deeper into the real reason for our Xmas party this year. Many of us are clueless about the help needed out there so I decided to do some digging & present them to you one by one.

Red Cross Children’s Hospital

Managing approximately 250 000 patient visits a year treating some of the most complex, life-limiting conditions. Managed by the department of health with an operational budget of R359million for 2008/09 Financial Year.

The Children’s Hospital Trust works in partnership with the Department of Health for specific projects, over & above the Hospital depends on charitable donations to ensure it remains the leading centre for child health care in Africa.

Current projects: A specialist surgical Ward needs Upgrading & A dedicated Paediatric Infectious Diseases Unit is needed.

If you would like to read a bit more please go to http://www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za/

If there’s an organization, school, hospital, old age home etc. that you would like me to blog please let me know...

Xmas with Friends

Hello everyone

Roc365 is back with your XMAS WITH FRIENDS party a little bit different this time round. We’re striving to make a difference… this year & for every year here on out, 100% of the profit made at Xmas with Friends will go to a charity organization of your choice. On the night of the event you will be presented with a card, on the card you will write the name of the charity/ school/ hospital you wish to give the money too.
It will go into a draw & at the end of the night we will pull the winner… you who chose the winner will go along with Annie to give the money to the organization.

This year its going to be bigger & better than before... save the date... 5dec...
